She stands on the cliff in the last forest in winter.
Guarding what is left since they sealed their destiny.
She is here to witness them destroying our earth.
First the world will melt, then comes rebirth.

In the unholy forest.
A tale will be told.
The one of the slimy and really old.
They say she gave birth to the new world and times.
But that's just a story by the winds that chimes.

A white swan will try to seek her up, fly up her cliff and salt her flesh.
Mercenary for the humankind to save their own lives.

It's not easy when there’s people who say why should I care?
Then try to find a scapesnail when they dug their own grave.
Taken by small snails.
Not even the snail, eating white swan, can save them now.

Arctic ice will melt.
Then comes the rebirth and Forest start to thrive.

The swan will kill many snails, as if they were the one to blame.
Wings as wide as the sun all snails will be undone.
That's what the humans thought when they paid the swan in gold.
Can she defeat the slimy and really old?

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.
